A man with honor and dignity

An Alumna of Assumption College, Nabunturan Compostela Valley Davao Province before he came to his position he was designated as the Project analyst in Municipality of mabini Compostela Valley, Municipal Planning Development Coordinator and Human Settlement Officers at Ministry of Human Settlement, Davao Province. He has been also a local government officer, (DILG) at Municipality of Mabini in the same place. This man is married to Mrs. Engracia Jerez Ysulat, they are blessed with three sons Sir Jun is already 55 years old last November 20, but he doesn’t looks like 50, right?

He has this principle which says “MAN is the ARCHITECT of his own future:”.
Now folks! This man which I am referring for is the HEAD of ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT, None other than Mr. Lorenzo Bandiola Ysulat Jr.

The Man in Action

STUDY HARD, NOW NA!!!... Mr. Felix Q. Obiedo, SMIT Criminology Dean fond of this line. For him, now is the sure preparation for tomorrow that comes. His great desire is to impart his knowledge to this students regarding how to attain the success he had right now. A pride of Cebu City was born last May 24, 1950. He was born with a strong determination. Determination to reach the will of his heart. Before he came a working student, attending classes after his duty, until he reached the pinnacle of success. He spent his Three(3) year of being a Criminology students at University of Visayas, Cebu City and continued the another one (1) year to graduate the Bachelor of Science in Criminology at Philippine Harvardian College. After retiring from the Military Service. Serving 25 years from 1973 to 1998, holding different assignments and designation at Armed Forces of the Philippines, he entered SMIT as member of the Faculty and Staff since June 1998 up to the present. He is an active adviser of the Crimebuster Club and Honorary member of the Professional Criminologist Association of the Philippines (PCAP). He is also one of the Instructors of Criminology Review Classes. Lately, the pride of Cebu City but now a pride of Southern Mindanao Institute of Technology for his is the Criminology Department Dean. He is not a man alone but a man in action as what many students call.

Meticulous and Principled Man

Everyone describes him as “meticulous and principles man”.
In fact he is an old employee in Southern Mindanao Institute of Technology. He is our Dean in Technical Department. He was born on January 9, 1961 at PGH manila. He is the blessed son of Mr. Jose Nachon and Mrs. Gliceria Nachon. He spent his elementary level at Norala Central Elementary School in the year 1978 and at Notre Dame of Norala during secondary in the year 1978. Because of his self-determination to obtain a good education he pursued his college at Earist Nagtahan manila with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in the year 1984.
Presently, he is residing at Brgy. Paraiso, Koronadal, South Cotabato. This mentor is happily married to Julieta Nachon and blessed with three children namely John Benedict, Princess Grace and Cindy Gleezyl Nachon.

He is fond of playing chess, cooking any kind of foods and he loved reading.
He experienced working at RIMEC, BONI Avenue Mandaluyong for almost 1 ½ year, AG&P in Ma. Ana Manila for 5 months.

His views in life is “Be just an ordinary citizen bound to take out a living through honest work aiming for the better things”. His philosophy in life is to work without counting the hour to follow serious orders”. To be a silent contributor in the community and to fear no one except my Creator and Savior.

His greatest embarrassing experience, when his father literally suited him with a girl dress during a parade in his elementary school days. His greatest achievement in life, when he passed the Electrical Engineering Board Examination.

Students know our energetic mentor, Engr. Ernesto A. Nachon.

  ADMISSION

Admission to the Southern Mindanao Institute of Technology is granted with definite understanding that th student and his/her parents/guardian explicity agree to comply with the scholastic standards, policies and regulations of the school.

The school reserves the right whenever it is necessary and expedient to deal with the violations in accordance with the system of discipline and guidance; and, the right to dismiss any student for poor scholastic records or undesirable conduct or for violations of the school rules, regulations and policies.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

A. Freshmen enrollees shall comply the following requirements:
1. Form 138 (high school card)
2. Recommendation of good moral character from the principal where he or she graduated.
3. He/She must have taken the SMIT admission examination in courses that required such examination.

B. Transferee s must bring:
1. Transfer credential (honorable dismissal)
2. Certificate of good moral character from the school last attended.
3. Copy of the subjects taken with the respective grades and credits earned duly signed by the registrar of school last attended for evaluation purposes.

CONDITIONAL ADMISSION:

Continuing/Returning and Transferee, who failed in three subjects enrolled in the preceding semester maybe admitted conditionally he/she will be put on probation and must be deloaded in accordance with the discretion of the registrar. His/He probationary status ceases when he/she has recovered his/her failures.
REFUSED RE-ADMISSION:

Re-admission is refused to SMIT student for the following reasons:

1. Made no academic improvement with in the probationary period.
2. The student continues to have poor health.
3. The student has been a disciplinary problem.
4. Student who fals three subjects ib the preceding semester.
